The Good: Serious specs; huge 200GB hard drive; wireless keyboard and mouse; fully configurable; easy-to-use digital video recorder.

The Bad: PC-based design won't fit in home theater; no room for upgrades; cables all over the place; LCD is too small for TV viewing.

The Bottom Line: The HP Media Center PC m300y benefits from OS and hardware improvements, but it's more a high-end home PC than a media-convergence device.
