Editors' rating
Good
6.2
out of 10
- The good: Inexpensive; good two-year warranty; runs quietly and coolly; rich Web site resources.
- The bad: Heavy; inferior brightness; complicated control panel; focusing is awkward; remote lacks laser pointer.
- The bottom line: The SP-45m may be inexpensive, but its disappointing image quality and quirky design make it less of a bargain.

Service and support of Boxlight SP-45M LCD Projector
Design: 6 Features: 6 Performance: 4 Service and support: 8The SP-45m comes with a two-year warranty on parts and labor, which is midrange coverage for its class. The lamp is covered for 120 days or 500 hours of use.
Boxlight's Web site includes a wealth of resources for mobile presenters, including buying guides, tips and tricks, and an exceedingly helpful glossary. You can download free PowerPoint backgrounds and themes, or, for a fee, the company will help you with your presentation. The Web site also includes a downloadable version of the skimpy, 33-page manual; general FAQs; and troubleshooting for specific models.
Boxlight offers 24/7 toll-free phone and e-mail support. In our test call, they responded helpfully after we were on hold for about five minutes. If you're stuck without a working projector, the company can help come up with a loaner, a service none of the other major competitors provides.
