Reviews of the McAfee VirusScan Home Edition 7.0
-
CNET Review
The Good: Scans for viruses faster than Norton AntiVirus 2003 does; intuitive interface; scans and cleans instant-messenger attachments; includes McAfee Firewall at no additional charge.
The Bad: Virus eradication requires your involvement; doesn't retain settings from VirusScan 6.0.
The Bottom Line: McAfee VirusScan 7.0 is a top-notch virus slayer for first-time users, but unless you use Outlook Express or Eudora, VirusScan 6.0 users won't need to upgrade.
